I have my grandmother's cruet set, which I think may even be her mother's. Sounds a lot like Chris's...doesn't get used much except when I want to "flash up" the table setting.Cassmob (Pauleen)https://www.blogger.com/profile/18397134336319778519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-545255455173688148.post-4471130199335767282014-11-01T05:16:05.267+10:002014-11-01T05:16:05.267+10:00Oh Crissouli thank you. I do have one of those fancy butter container things inherited from my mother and I do like it. You know the thing that looks like a dome with a lid that you push back to reveal the butter sitting in a glass dish. I do like a bit of nonsense on the table.Alex Dawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05083753053051713061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-545255455173688148.post-17648148557714798772014-11-01T05:05:21.400+10:002014-11-01T05:05:21.400+10:00Jill - that makes it an even more special place to...Jill - that makes it an even more special place to me now knowing that. Waverley Cemetery is a bit dim in my memory. I have spent more time at Rookwood, though I think Waverley is more pleasant in aspect.Alex Dawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05083753053051713061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-545255455173688148.post-85724355295159090102014-11-01T05:04:02.055+10:002014-11-01T05:04:02.055+10:00Jill - it was so funny getting the envelope. I don't have a photo at hand, must take one the next time I polish it, but it holds etched glass pepper and salt containers, too fancy to be called shakers, as well as decanters for oil, vinegar and mustard or a sauce. I just love it.Crissoulihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10148084999701286044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-545255455173688148.post-854641388345650702014-10-31T21:46:44.399+10:002014-10-31T21:46:44.399+10:00G'day, I really enjoyed this post which I have...G'day, I really enjoyed this post which I have included in this weeks GAGs - GeniAus Gems at http://geniaus.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/gags-geniaus-gems-31-october-2014.html

And did you know that Waverley Cemetery was under Mr GeniAus' care when he was Town Clerk there?GeniAushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09074874999181040071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-545255455173688148.post-86537802731397386482014-10-31T21:09:58.756+10:002014-10-31T21:09:58.756+10:00Thrilled that you found some items of interest in ...Thrilled that you found some items of interest in the packet.GeniAushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09074874999181040071noreply@blogger.com
